This project is a part of Microbial Studio, initiated by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania to create a repository of design experiments to explore applications of ecologically friendly and biologically-based materials.
My explorations with algae involved growing spirulina, harvesting it into a concentrate, and using lino print methods to create modular designs, inspired by natural shapes.
