The inaugural Helsinki Biennial, "The Same Sea," took place in 2021 and served as a reminder of mutual dependence in nature, that everything is connected to everything else. This theme was even more profound given the context of our ecological crisis, the pandemic, and Finland's pledge to be carbon-neutral.
I designed a visual identity and system of parts for the biennial, conceptualizing these through a poster, publication, site, and animation.
